Stainless steel sub-D connector shells
We take environmental protection seriously on our production line . We comply with all the relevant environmental requirements, including the RoHS Directive, which restricts of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment .
To protect sub-D connector shells from corrosion in accordance with DIN 41652, the metal surfaces are often electroplated. However, the RoHS Directive has called some of these processes into question. Proven methods need to be replaced by other processes which are often more complex and costly.
Chrome nickel steel offers the best properties
Stainless chrome nickel steel offers considerably better corrosion protection than all known electrolytic coating processes – and without any undesirable side-effects on the environment. Because we already use chrome nickel steel in other areas of our business, that know-how has enabled us to develop the stainless steel sub-D connector shell to series maturity.
Visibly impressive, all round
The special nature of the material also gives stainless chrome nickel steel a particular quality which can be further enhanced by specific subsequent treatment. The result is a visibly superior product that will enable you to revitalise established markets or open up innovative market segments in the steadily growing electronics industry.
We can offer you these innovative products at an attractive price. We would be pleased to advise on your particular requirements. We can also supply sample quantities or series parts, as shown. We look forward to hearing from you.
