Cutting machine operator.
Our toolmaking department designs and manufactures our tools and spare parts for production: If you want to get started in this job, you will need good instincts and dexterity. Furthermore, precision and good technical intuition are extremely important in this area. Even minimal discrepancies in a part on the tool can have major effects in production: So you will have a position with great responsibility.
As cutting machine operator you operate the various turning, grinding, and milling machines in toolmaking. You process and inspect parts and maintain the machines as needed. And since almost all of our machines (CNC) are computer-controlled and networked, PC skills are a must for programming the production processes.
Programming, setting up and retooling our multiple-die presses and automatic cutting presses – that’s the job of our machine fitters. They also monitor production processes, inspect finished parts before they’re release to production and are involved in controlling the continuous improvement process. An interest in plants and machinery is just as important in this job as spatial visualisation, precision and being a team player. You can hold this position as a toolmaker. Our machine operators set up the multiple-die presses and punching machines and independently produce our deep drawn parts on a production line In the process they monitor the machines, ensure materials are replenished, check the samples and parts produced and are responsible for their quality.
Our production engineering team plans our deep drawn parts metal optimally: They issue manufacturing papers, plan raw materials and purchased parts, and coordinate outside contractors. In line with the continuous improvement process, a planning engineer also compiles and analyses statistics. All tasks are closely coordinated with the purchasing, sales, production and quality assurance departments. This position requires technical or business management training, probability calculation training and knowledge of the PP SAP module as well as MS-Office.
Toolmaking Service Centre staff.
Our Service Centre provides the toolmaking team with all the materials and tools required: The Service Centre is the fulcrum of our internal logistics. This job requires logistics training, mechanical and technical skills and the appropriate IT skills in MS-Office, SAP and BDE.
In this position you will design 3D datasets for our tools and tool components or modify existing datasets - supporting our tool designers. Ideally you will have relevant experience in the field of forming die You are a joint-up thinker and possess 3D CAD/CAM system skills – preferably with Siemens NX and Teamcenter. This position requires great focus and accuracy in order to notice the minutest of details.
